Kitchen Cabinet Spray Finishing
A brand-new kitchen look — at a fraction of replacement cost
Professional Cabinet Finishing in Alberta
New cabinets can cost $15,000–$40,000 or more. A professional spray refinish from KERNI PAINT delivers the same dramatic transformation for a fraction of that cost. We remove all doors and hardware, spray-finish every surface in a controlled environment, and reinstall with precision. The result is a durable, smooth factory finish with zero brush strokes — just clean, modern cabinetry. Any color, any sheen level, including crisp whites, deep navies, warm greiges, and bold two-tone combinations.
What's Included
Everything you should expect from a professional job — all included, no surprises.
How It Works
Our proven process — from first contact to final walkthrough.
Quote & Color Selection
We visit, count doors and drawers, assess existing finish condition, and provide a written quote. We bring color swatches and help you choose a finish that suits your style.
Door & Hardware Removal
All cabinet doors, drawer fronts, and hardware are carefully removed and labeled. Cabinet boxes are masked and protected in place.
Sanding & Priming
All surfaces are cleaned, degreased, and sanded to create mechanical adhesion. A bonding primer is applied to ensure the topcoat adheres permanently.
Professional Spray Finish
Doors and drawer fronts are sprayed flat in our controlled setup. Cabinet boxes are sprayed in place. Multiple coats are applied with light sanding between coats.
Reinstallation & Adjustment
All doors and hardware are reinstalled. Hinges are adjusted for perfect alignment. We clean up the kitchen and walk you through the finished result.
What Affects the Cost
Every project is different. These are the key factors that determine your final quote — there are no hidden fees, and you receive a detailed written breakdown before any work begins.
- Total number of cabinet doors and drawer fronts
- Current finish type (paint, stain, laminate)
- Extent of degreasing and prep required
- Color change complexity (dark to light requires extra coats)
- Two-tone or single-color finish
- New hardware installation
